Clinical Advancement in Ovarian Cancer

Clinical Advancement in Ovarian Cancer
About Ovarian cancer is the onset of cancer in the ovaries, the reproductive glands found only in females. The ovaries are the main source of the female hormones estrogen and progesterone. One ovary is on each side of the uterus in the pelvis. Three different types of tumors can be seen in different types of cells in ovaries. They are, epithelial tumors start from the cells that cover the outer surface of the ovary. Most ovarian tumors are epithelial cell tumors, Germ cell tumors start from the cells that produce the eggs, Stromal tumors start from structural tissue cells that hold the ovary together and produce the female hormones estrogen and progesterone. Most of these tumors are benign. Benign tumors can be treated by removing the part of the ovary that contains the tumor. Apart from this, clinically advanced methods are being developed in recent years by the aid of advances in other fields of science and technology. This e-book plays a role of plat form to publish Clinical Advancement in Ovarian Cancer.
